FALL CLEAN UP WILL BE OCTOBER 06th – 10TH, 2008
The crews will be following the regular garbage route, so if your garbage is picked up on Mondays, you should have your items out on Sunday.
Please keep the items to be picked up piled in the R-O-W adjacent to your property. Do not block your garbage tote. Please separate all items into the following categories:
1. White Good – Metal – Bicycles Etx.
Appliances must have a signed EPA form attached, all freon should be removed from all refrigerators, freezers etc.. EPA Forms are available at the Public Works Office located at 1057 Dudley Street.
2. Yard Waste - Grass, leaves, etc.
3. Wood - Branches, unpainted lumber or wood
4. Rubble - Furniture, Building Materials etc.
Several trucks will be sent out to collect items. Each category of items will usually be picked up by separate trucks. They will try to follow your regularly scheduled pick up day, but please take into consideration that they have a lot to pick up and may run behind.
If you have alley access, keep the items to be picked up on your side of the alley and in the R-O-W.
To properly dispose of old paint, it must be completely dried out before we will take it. If you have old paint, simply take the lid off and let it dry.
We will not pick up tires, however, you may take them to the Rubble Site, and charges do apply depending on the size of the tires. We will not pick up batteries, chemicals, or hazardous materials such as oil, pesticides etc.
If you are going to have an exceptionally large pile of items, please call the Public Works Office at 347-3916 and let us know.
Please do not place any items in the R-O-W that you do not want picked up. The City will not be responsible for any missing items during Fall and Spring Cleanup.
