PROCEEDINGS OF THE STURGIS CITY COUNCIL – DECEMBER 29, 2005

 

The Common Council of the City of Sturgis met in regular adjourned session at 7:30am on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the Sturgis City Hall.  Present:  Mayor Mark Zeigler, Alderpersons Terry Jensen (by phone), Arvid Meland, Sherry Scudder (by phone), Mark Chaplin, and Pokey Jacobson.  Absent:  Steve Anders, Bev Patterson and Penny Green.

 

Motion by Chaplin, second by Jacobson & carried to approve the agenda as presented.

 

Motion by Meland, second by Chaplin & carried to approve the minutes of the December 19, 2005 council meeting.

Chaplin introduced the following written resolution and moved its adoption:

RESOLUTION 2005-50

RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT

 

            WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of South Dakota require that plats of property within the City of Sturgis be submitted to the governing body for approval before the same are recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds; and

            WHEREAS, Sturgis Industrial Expansion Corporation and Esther A. Tveidt have presented to the Common Council of the City of Sturgis a plat of the following described real property:

 

TRACT C OF STURGIS INDUSTRIAL PARK SUBDIVISION, LOCATED IN THE N1/2SW1/4 OF SECTION 6, T5N, R5E, BHM, CITY OF STURGIS, MEADE COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA

 

WHEREAS, said plat meets the requirements of the statutes in all things, now

therefore,

            BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City Of Sturgis, South Dakota, that the within and foregoing plat is hereby approved.

Jacobson duly seconded the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution.  All those present voted in favor of and the resolution was declared passed and adopted.

 

Scudder introduced the following written resolution and moved its adoption:

RESOLUTION 2005-51

RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT

 

            WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of South Dakota require that plats of property within the City of Sturgis be submitted to the governing body for approval before the same are recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds; and

            WHEREAS, Peter R. Pi has presented to the Common Council of the City of Sturgis a plat of the following described real property:

 

LOT 1A-REVISED AND LOT 1E, STURGIS INDUSTRIAL PARK SUBDIVISION, FORMERLY LOT 1A OF STURGIS INDUSTRIAL PARK SUBDIVISION LOCATED IN THE S1/2, SECTION 6, T5N, R5E, BHM, CITY OF STURGIS, MEADE COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA
