Our Mission Statement

The Mission of the Sturgis Police Department is to:

  • Keep the Police Department a part of the community of Sturgis instead of apart from the community
  • Bring the citizens of Sturgis together with the police in the effort to fight crime
  • Commit to the efforts of apprehending the criminals while practicing good prevention habits in the community

The police and community working closer together, through efforts of education, awareness, and cooperation, can and will make a safer place to live.
