Snow Removal Contractors
If a snow event takes place and the regular City snow removal workers need assistance, contractors may be hired.  

The City maintains a list of contractors who are available when the need arises.  If you are a licensed contractor with snow removal equipment and would like to be considered for contract work on an "on call" basis and you meet the criteria to be a contractor for the city, please make application with the Public Works Department.

Simply click on the link below to apply.  You may also download an application, fill it out and fax it to (605) 347-3516 or stop at the Public Works office at 1057 Dudley Street Monday - Friday and pick up an application.

Excavation Contractors
On occasion, the Water Department requires assistance with making emergency water line repairs.  This assistance is usually related to excavation work.  If you have large equipment suitable for excavation such as a track hoe, backhoe or other equipment and would like to be considered for contract work on an "on call" basis and you meet the criteria to be a contractor for the City, please make application with the Water Department.

Methods of application include the following:
*  Visit the Water Department in City Hall and ask for an application.
Download the application, fill it out and either fax the application to the Water Department at  (605) 347-9187 or bring the application to the Water office in City Hall.

Note: If you want to apply for both Snow Removal and Excavating you can do both on one application.
