Forestry Advisory Committee
About the Committee

Committee Members: Bill McKee (Chairman), Aaron Jordan (member), Ken Meirose (member), Tony Dargatz (council representative), Gene Stock (Parks Director), Josh Larson (South Dakota Urban Forester).

The purpose of this committee is to advise the Sturgis Park Board with urban forest recommendations. They assist with the tree inventory on City property and public right-of-way lands, assist in the identification of problem trees and solutions for correction, assist the community with a City wide program and act as an information source, they provide recommendations for mediation of problems or concerns for the forestry program. 

This committee meets at 7:00 PM on the first Thursday of every other month at the Meade County Extension Office
