Event Requests, Rallies, Parades, Street Dances, Rodeos and all other events:

Depending on the type of activity you will be hosting, various types of information is required.   All applications for special events must be submitted to the City Rally & Events Office at least  60 days in advance of the event date in order to accommodate the public hearing and approval process.  Through advance planning, we can better assist you in planning and promoting your event.  To apply for your event, please use the appropriate form(s) listed.  Event Application & Street Closure Form and Parade Request Form.  Also, in order for us to help promote your event, please fill out the Event Promo Form. All Forms should be submitted to the Rally & Events Department.  For more information, please contact Jennessa at 720-0800 ext. 217 or .

For those events that require a street closure lasting more than 3 hours and/or that require barricades for traffic control:
The City requires applicants to provide advanced notification to all businesses and/or residents who will be directly impacted by the street closure. This requirement ensures that businesses and residents have the opportunity to attend the public hearing, inform their clients, and make alternative plans for access.

If you will be using the Fairgrounds or property located in the Public Right of Way, you will be required to have insurance for your event.  You may also need to provide a deposit and sign a lease agreement.   If you are requesting City resources such as barricades, police escorts or use of public right of way you must start your planning process early.  Making public notice and scheduling Council meetings take time so don't delay.  Call our office at 720-0800 ext. 217 or email as soon as you begin making plans.  Our staff is happy to help you get the process started and will provide assistance for a successful event!

It will also be helpful to review the City's General Nuisance Ordinance (Title 12) and Offenses and Regulation Ordinance (Title 13) to ensure understanding and compliance.
