About the Ambulance Service
The Ambulance Service serves the residents of Sturgis as well as communities in western Meade County and eastern Lawrence County including lower Boulder Canyon.  Service territory also includes the I-90 corridor between exits 40 and 28, north to the Belle Fourche River, and along Highway 79 to 194th Street. They also serve the Fort Meade Veterans’ Hospital by transporting patients to and from other facilities in the Hills.

The service has employees on duty 24 hours a day, providing advanced life support to our service area.  In 2014, the service responded to more than 2,000 calls.  The service regularly deploys four ambulances but utilizes additional units and staff during large events.  The service is self-supported enterprise and does not rely on tax payer money.

While you hope to never need them, these dedicated professionals are there when you need quality emergency medical care.
