Starline Neighborhood Park
Now Open

Neighborhood parks are designed to provide a recreation area that caters to a variety of ages and is easily accessible by bicycle or walking.  Park amenities are determined based on input from public meetings with neighborhood residents.  Neighborhood parks are often found in or near large residential developments.  Developers often partner with the City to provide the necessary land and/or funding for these parks to be built.

Starline Park is a neighborhood park featuring a half-court basketball court, play area and picnic shelter.  The park is located at the corner of Starline and Oak Grove Court.

Construction on the park is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2015 and will be complete in the spring of 2016.

Iverson Construction was awarded the bid of $98,000.  $28,000 in funding was obtained through a recreational grant from the SD Game Fish and Parks Department.  The remaining funding was provided through the Capital Improvement funds from 2011, 2012 and 2013.
