Harley-Davidson Plaza Rally Point Solar Canopies

City of Sturgis, South Dakota

Sealed Proposals will be received until 2:00 pm, MDT Friday July 7, 2017 by the City of Sturgis Finance Department, 1040 Harley-Davidson Way, Sturgis, SD 57785, and will be publicly opened and read.  All proposals shall be made on forms provided by the City Engineer.  Each Proposal envelope shall contain one Proposal only, and be marked with the words, “Sealed Proposal- City of Sturgis.”

The City of Sturgis is proposing a design/ build project to design and build solar canopies at Harley-Davidson Plaza Rally Point and manage a lease of the solar energy.

A single Proposer will be allowed to submit multiple Proposals with different technical solutions.

A Proposer may consist of a team of different entities.  One entity would be required to be the lead and provide the required bonds and insurance.    The Proposer lead will sign the Bid Schedule.  The Proposer will list in the submittals all team members and their expertise.

Each Proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or a bank draft drawn on a State or National Bank for five percent (5%) of the amount Proposal, payable to the City of Sturgis, or in lieu thereof, a Proposal bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount Proposal by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota, payable to the City of Sturgis, as a guarantee of the Proposer entering into a Contract with the City of Sturgis.  The checks of all unsuccessful Proposers will be returned within thirty (30) days after the Proposal has been opened.

The City of Sturgis reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or to waive any informalities, and to accept the Proposal that is to the advantage of and is in the best interest of the City of Sturgis.
