OTHER BITE HOLDS
All animals that are impounded for a bite will be placed on a 10-day hold. During that time, the animal will be kept isolated from the rest of the population and observed for rabies.
The cost of the bite hold is $100 which is $10 per day.
At the end of the 10-day hold, the animal will be seen by a vet for rabies exam and be given a rabies vaccination if it isn't current. The owner is required to pay all vet costs before the animal is released.
