Mark your calendar! Saturday, February 16 for the February Frostathlon.
Winter - the coldest season of the year and people shouldn't be outside not even for a triathlon! But that's exactly what we are doing. Yes, it's the first Frostathlon in the Black Hills!
What is a Frostathlon?
The Sturgis Frostathlon is a physical competition involving three disciplines: running, cycling and swimming. It's like a triathlon only in the Winter and with warmer clothes. These three events are completed in succession without breaks. Remember that, without breaks (and in winter)! The run will take place on the Sturgis bike path, the cycling portion will take place mostly on the Centennial and 7th Calvary trails and the swimming leg will be done in the Sturgis Community Center pool.
