The City of Sturgis will hold an informational and fact gathering meeting on Tuesday, February 19 at 10:00 AM in the Meade room at the Sturgis Community Center, 1401 Lazelle Street in Sturgis.

The purpose for this meeting is to gather campground owners and operators, along with the Sturgis City Manager and City Council representatives to discuss important changes to ambulance and fire coverage at campgrounds located outside City limits during the 2019 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. 

In the past, the Sturgis Ambulance Service and Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department have provided coverage to all areas in and around the City of Sturgis.  The goal is to continue this coverage in 2019, however, funding issues may prohibit coverage at campground locations.  The meeting on February 19 will include discussions on the best way to move forward while still allowing the Sturgis Ambulance Service and Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department to provide the high-quality, reliable emergency service visitors expect while attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
