Due to a request at the 2025 Crackerbarrel for a pre-legislative Crackerbarrel and the deep concerns in the Foothills communities about the proposed sand/gravel mine at Piedmont, organizers have decided to host an extra Crackerbarrel.  Several legislators are working on bills to change SD Sand/Gravel mining laws (SDCL chapter 45-6). Hours will be from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Legislators from Districts 29 and 33 are invited. The event is held at the Piedmont American Legion Post 311 located at 101 Pine Street and is at the intersection of Pine and Sturgis Road (North First St). It is on the southeast side of the town of Piedmont, travel about a half mile northwest of exit 46 (Elk Creek Rd Exit) on Sturgis Rd.
