Job Title: EMT-Basic
Salary range: $21.00 per hour once orientation is complete (EMT-Advanced: $24.00)
Location: Sturgis Fire/Ambulance Hall

Hours: Full time with benefits, part-time and PRN - flexible shifts available (8, 12, 24 hour options), Maximum 1,039 hours per year.
Start date: Immediately but must complete orientation within 90 days of hire
Job Description:
Serving as an EMT the employee provides pre-hospital emergency medical care and as well as medical care on interagency transfers. Performs necessary daily functions (i.e. rig checks) and completes all required call reporting. Provides medication passing services at the Meade County Jail facility. Provides office administrative support (i.e. copying, filing, etc.) when not on runs.
- Must be a South Dakota certified EMT-Basic.
- PRN and flexible scheduling – 8 hour, 12 hour and 24 hour shifts available
- Possess valid South Dakota Driver’s License (with acceptable driving record)
- Prior experience as an EMT-Basic required
- Wage is $2.00 less per hour until orientation is completed.
