Job Title: Lifeguard - All Shifts

Salary range: $16.29 per hour

Location: Sturgis Community Center, 1401 Lazelle St, Sturgis, SD

Department: Community Center

Hours: Part-time, maximum 1,039 hours per year.

Job Description:

The Lifeguard is responsible for all aspects of the safety, daily operation, and public enjoyment of the Sturgis Community Center Pool, Therapy Spa and Sauna. This position must ensure a safe environment at all times, recognize potentially dangerous situations, take action necessary to remove danger(s), and respond to all emergency situations. This position is the initial emergency responder for all emergencies in the Community Center Pool Area and Locker Rooms, administering First Aid and/or CPR as needed by the victim of an accident. This position may also assist in swimming instruction and lessons. 

Scheduled 2-3 days per week (possibly more if needed).  Shift times vary.

Must be a certified Lifeguard.
