Capital Improvement Plan
The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is a multi-year living document that includes numerous immediate and future capital needs that have been identified over the past several years.  These projects are prioritized and balanced in accordance with the projected resources of the City.  The projects identified in this report are all meant to protect investments previously made, develop greater efficiencies for long-term governance, and enhance the quality of life within the City of Sturgis.

Upon completion of the capital projects outlined in this report, the community will reach a generational moment. Aging infrastructure will have been restored and the community will have built a higher quality of life for existing residents. Moreover, the capacity of the community’s infrastructure will have expanded to accommodate a growing population which will expand the economic base.

Moving forward, various sections of the plan will be discussed, adjusted, and implemented as needed. The plan will also be modified to fit the needs of the community as new projects evolve.
