STURGIS – The Sturgis Hotel Business Improvement District (BID) is now accepting applications for its 2026 Event Grant Program.

Local organizations planning community-enhancing, multi-day events that encourage overnight stays in Sturgis hotels and motels are encouraged to apply.

Applications are due Sept. 30, and must include:

• A completed application form
• Financials for the previous year
• A proposed event budget
• A list of funding sources

Applicants will also be required to present their proposals at the annual BID meeting in October or November (date and time to be determined).

“The Hotel BID exists to strengthen tourism and support events that bring visitors to Sturgis,” said Veronica Grosek, BID Secretary and Executive Director of the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. “These grants are an investment in our community, our businesses, and the visitor experience.”

The BID Board prioritizes funding requests that promote overnight stays and have a measurable impact on the local economy. Past recipients have included multi-day events that highlight Sturgis as a destination for culture, entertainment, and recreation.
