The City of Sturgis is committed to the continued safety and security of our employees and of the public. We make all reasonable efforts to protect safety and health in the workplace, and we highly encourage all employees to champion safety and health practices, eliminating potentially hazardous practices or conditions.

Safety should never be compromised due to or become secondary to another business priority.  Everyone shares in the responsibility for a safe and healthful workplace.

The City will make all reasonable efforts to promote safety and health among its employees by the provision of facilities, equipment, tools, procedures, and safety programs for employees to work injury free.  Through their individual and team actions and efforts as well as by following the law and good safety practices, employees minimize the chances of anyone being hurt on the job.

The general public is encouraged to report any employees that you might observe working in an unsafe or potentially unsafe manner.
