Sturgis Construction Standards
General Requirements
1) All buildings shall meet the IBC code adopted by the City Council. Contact the Building Inspector or the Planning and Permitting office if you need more information.
Visit the CitizenServe portal on the Planning & Permitting page for a permit.
2) All work shall meet all the requirements of the Professional Engineering and Land Surveying laws of South Dakota.
3) Significant portions of Sturgis are within the FEMA floodplain. The ordinance Title 34 applies.
