The Building Inspector is responsible for enforcing all laws and ordinances related to the construction, alteration, removal, and/or demolition of permanent and temporary structures within the city.

The Building Inspector examines all construction plans and specifications.  The Building Inspector has the authority to issue or deny permits, order the removal of any existing structure which was unlawfully built or is deemed dangerous, and can require specific testing or inspections in connection with the performance of construction work within the City.

Note:  All inspections must be scheduled and confirmed with the Building Inspector at least 24 hours prior to the inspection taking place.  You can schedule your inspections through the  Citizenserve web portal. 

The Building Inspector is also responsible for issuing Contractor Licenses.
