What to Donate 
The Sturgis/Meade County Animal Shelter is always accepting donations of dog and cat food (new or opened), dog treats and toys, cat treats and toys, extra collars or leashes, plain, unscented bleach, blankets, towels, laundry detergent, and even yard sale leftovers.

Those items not used here are shared with other local shelters and animal sanctuaries.  Nothing is thrown away  . Thank you for thinking of us.

The Animal Shelter is also able to process one-time credit card donations at this link on the Sturgis Superstore. Cash donations may be made in person at the Animal Shelter or at the City Finance Office.

Spay / Neuter Assistance 
We would like to begin giving assistance to people in getting their animals spayed and neutered. Since the Shelter is municipally-owned, we don't qualify for any government or private spay / neuter grants, and our yearly budget only goes so far.
