Reservations  
Shelters can be reserved in advance for picnics or family reunions. We only accept reservations made for the current year. A key/clean-up deposit of $20 is required at the time the key is picked up and the deposit is reimbursed when the key is returned and the facility passes inspection. There is no fee for using the shelters, but donations are appreciated and help pay for the continual upkeep of our facilities.

To reserve a park shelter, contact the Sturgis Public Works office at 605-347-3916.  You may also make your request online.  Once your request has been received, someone from the City will contact you with availability information. A signed Rental Agreement is required for all reservations.
 
 Note: Shelters with kitchens and restrooms are winterized in September of each year.  You can use the picnic area of the shelter but kitchen and restroom facilities will not be available.  

Lions Club Park Gazebo -560 Lazelle St  The Lions Club Park Gazebo can seat about 90 people. Amenities include electricity, sink/water, restrooms, and small charcoal grills. Location:  East Lazelle Street A Reservation & Rental Agreement is required

Lions Club Park Shelter  The Lions Club Park Shelter is an open shelter with seating for 15. There are no amenities at this shelter, a small playground is nearby. Location:  East Lazelle Street This shelter is not on a reservation basis.

Stone Shelter- 730 Woodland Dr.  The Stone Shelter is an open shelter with electricity and a seating area for 50 people. This shelter was constructed in 2017 and is ADA compliant.  A playground is within sight of this shelter. Location:  City Municipal Park A Reservation & Rental Agreement is required

Stock Shelter- 720 Woodland Drive   Stock Shelter is an open shelter with a sink and serving area with a seating area for 50 people. Restroom facilities are attached. Project Playground is within sight of this shelter. Location:  City Municipal Park A Reservation & Rental Agreement is required

Woodland Shelter-781 Sly Street   Woodland Shelter is an open shelter with a sink and serving area with a seating area for 150 people. A patio area with permanent charcoal grills and restroom facilities are attached. A small playground is next to this shelter. Location:  Woodland Park A Reservation & Rental Agreement is required

Picnic Shelter  This Picnic Shelter is an open shelter with seating for 12. There are tables and a charcoal grill.   Location:  City Park This shelter is not on a reservation basis.
